Update to GoldMine Premium

A new update for GoldMine Premium, Version 8.03.80716 is now available.

From FrontRange Solutions:

GoldMine Premium Edition 8.0 was released in April 2007, with this GMPE 8.0.3 release being the third service pack available for the Premium Edition product line.  This represents a major product release, and three service pack releases within 16 months, something we can all be proud of.  We have thousands of clients worldwide leveraging the power of GoldMine Premium Edition.  We wish to continue to get the message out that GoldMine Premium Edition is proving time and time again that GoldMine is the leader in CRM software.

WHAT’S ENHANCED IN GOLDMINE PREMIUM EDITION 8.0.3

A configuration setting is now available for the default record type used when creating new records. To view or change this setting, go to Tools > Configure > Record Types and double-click on Record Type Rules. The setting is available when using Field value-based rules, and appears in the radio button labeled “Record type for new contacts”.

Setting up Yahoo, AT&T, SBCGlobal or Gmail in GoldMine (updated)

Many email providers like Gmail, AT&T, Yahoo and SBCGlobal are moving to a secure sockets layer (SSL) method of securing email. GoldMine versions 6.7, 7.0 and 8.0 do not work directly with SSL but there is a way around that.  (*See below for information on 7. 5)
