GoldSync as a Service with FireDaemon

Posted by Deborah on June 27, 2008

As I have found that Goldsync as a Service is sometimes unreliable – always getting stuck “Starting”, I have found that using FireDaemon to keep GoldSync process listening is reliable, inexpensive and offers the added security of not having a user logged into the Goldmine server to run GoldSync in silent mode. Here is how I set it up.

You need to have it running under a domain login, use UNC paths, and sometimes you need to stop FireDaemon, delete the server in GoldSync Admin, setup the server again and then start FireDaemon.
